Animax (アニマックス, Animakkusu) is a Japanese anime satellite television network, dedicated to broadcasting anime programming.It presently reached viewers of over 89 million households, 62 countries and more then 17 languages across the world. Animax is the first and largest 24-hour network dedicated to anime in the world. Operating across Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, South Korea, Southeast Asia, South Asia, Latin America, and most recently in Europe (launching across Germany, Romania, Hungary, Czech Republic in 2007, Slovakia, Spain,Poland and Portugal in 2008, and soon to be launched in the United Kingdom,Italy, France and several other countries) more info...

Animax Programming

Animax's programming is dedicated to anime, and it has been acknowledged as the largest 24-hour anime-only network in the world.It viewers reached over 89 million households, 62 countries and more then 17 languages across the world. But in some countries it also air Live-action serials and movies. Animax utilities most famous anime shows like Bleach, Dragonball Z, Naruto, Blood+, Fullmetal Alchemist, Mobile suit Gundam and numerous others.

Animax Original Production

LaMB is an upcoming animated film produced by Animax directed by Ryosuke Teiwith the original script written by Carmelo S. J. Juinio that will be broadcast across several countries in 2009 in high definition. It is also the first and biggest Animax original production, featuring the French-Canadian band Simple Plan and the American band The Click Five who will be producing two different songs for the opening and ending themes of the movie.

Animax Original Production

Animax Taishō (アニマックス大賞, Animakkusu Taishō), also known as Animax Awards, is a Japanese anime competition organized and held by the Japanese anime satellite television network, Animax. Held annually since 2002, the competition awards the best original anime scripts of the year across Japan, which then get animated by a noted anime studio for broadcast on Animax the following year, which Animax also produces. The first four award-winning screenplays were animated by each of Animax's co-founders, the studios Sunrise, Toei Animation and Tokyo Movie Shinsha, while the fifth and sixth were animated by Production I.G. and A-1 Pictures respectively. In 2007, the awards were made open to Animax's viewers across its networks worldwide, under the name Animax Awards.
